Chief Francis Adedoyin Bankole was born in 1931 into the family of Mr. Stephen Koya Bankole and Madam Adefowope Bankole of Idona, Ijebu Imusin. He was educated at St. Peter Claver’s Primary School, Esure, Ijebu Imusin, and at St. Leo’s Teacher Training College, Abeokuta. He went further to do an Associateship course at the University of Ibadan.
He was a teacher in various primary schools in Ijebu, including at St. Joseph’s Catholic Primary School, Ogbere, Ijebu, from where he retired after a long period of excellent service. Chief Francis Bankole served as Honorary Assigned Inspector for Ijebu East and Ogun Waterside; and was Chairman, Community Development Council, Idona, Ijebu Imusin. He was the First Secretary of YMCA at The Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Esure, Ijebu Imusin.
