Mr. Anthony Niyi Ibiyemi was born on June 15, 1954, at Ijebu Imusin. He is one of the education titans of Ijebu Imusin. His early education saw him earn his Grade II Teacher Certificate in 1974 and the West African School Certificate in 1979. He later proceeded to do his tertiary education at different institutions of higher learning, acquiring Associate Diploma in Education in 1980, BSc. Education in 1992, and a Master degree in Public Administration in 2003.
He worked as teacher and head teacher in many schools in Ijebu East, Ogun State. Between 1993 and 1996, he was Deputy Chairman, Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) Ijebu East, and State Chairman, Association of Primary Schools Head Teachers of Nigeria (APSTON), Ogun State from 1999 to 2005. He later was a member of WAEC State Committee, Ogun State, and National Secretary-General, Association of Primary School Head Teachers of Nigeria, Abuja, from 1999 to 2001.
He obtained many awards, including the Certificate of Honours, APSTON Ijebu East, in 1999,; Certificate of Excellence as Best Head Teacher of the year presented to him by Ogun State Governor in 2004; and Icon of Education Development (SUG) Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijagun, Ijebu Ode, in 2009.
