Omooba A. O. Olusada was born on September 12, 1928. He had his early education at St. Mary’s Anglican Primary School, Ijebu Imusin; Divisional Teachers’ Training College, Okun-Owo; and St. Andrew’s Teachers Training College, Oyo. He proceeded for higher studies at the University of Lagos, where he obtained a Diploma in Yoruba and English Language Studies in 1979.
He subsequently became a teacher and taught in the following schools: St. Mathias’ Primary School, Ilusin (1955-1956); St. James’, Mobalufon, Ijebu Ode (1957-1958); St. John’s Anglican School, Ososa (1961-1964); Ajebo United School, Ikala (1965-1969); St. Mary’s, Itebu Manua (1973-1974); Local Authority School, Origba Nla, Ago Iwoye (1974-1975); St. Mary’s Anglican Primary School, Ijebu Imusin (1976); and Ijebu Ife Community Grammar School (1979-1989). He retired as a teacher in 1989 and was appointed as a Monitoring Officer by the Local Government Education Authority later that year.
