Having trained as a teacher, Pa Onabanjo Onasanya taught in many schools in Iwopin, Imobi, Aiyepe and Abigi. He served as a church catechist in various communities where he worked. In 1961, he came back home to Odomogun where he served religiously at the African Church, Odomogun, as Catechist and Choirmaster. He took it upon himself to sponsor many less privileged children through different levels of education.
