Pa Benson Osisanya was born on September 29, 1937, in Okegbo, Ijebu Imusin, into the family of Pa Abraham Osisanya and the late Madam Adebanke Osisanya. For his First School Leaving Certificate, he attended St. Mary’s Anglican Primary School, Ijebu Imusin, between 1949 and 1954. He then moved to Anglican Boys’ Secondary Modern School, Ijebu Ode in 1958 for his secondary school education. Between 1960 and 1961, he was a student of St. Paul’s College, Abeokuta. He finally studied at St. Andrew’s College, Oyo, from 1964 to 1965.
Pa Benson Osisanya was a teacher in many schools and was Honorary Inspector of Education, Ijebu East from 1978 to 1981. He was a member of the District Committee, Ijebu-Imusin, Owu-Ikija. He served as a member of the Parish Church Council of St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Ijebu Imusin, and as an Exco member of Anglican Youth Fellowship, Ijebu Anglican Diocese. He died on July 1, 2006.
