Chief Daniel Otefowobi, ICMA, was born on June 23, 1908 at Igbaga, Ijebu Imusin. He attended St. Mary’s Primary School, Ijebu Imusin and obtained the Standard Six School Leaving Certificate in 1925. Between 1930 and 1933, he had his secondary school education at St. Andrew’s College, Oyo. He obtained the Grade II Teachers Certificate in 1933.
He was a teacher from 1933 to 1942 when he left teaching to join the Nigerian Railways. He rose to the Grade level of Chief Accounts Clerk before he retired in 1980. For more than 20 years, he was Secretary-General to Ijebu Imusin Progressive Society (IPS), and was one of the pillars of the Lagos Branch of IPS.
He was conferred with the chieftaincy title of Amuludun of Ijebu Imusin and the Asiwaju Ijo of St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Igbaga. On August 1, 1992, he won the prestigious Ijebu Imusin Community Merit Award. He died on October 4, 1989
