Mr. Alfred Olufemi Runsewe was born on July 22, 1937. He had his primary school education at St. Mary’s Anglican Primary School, Ijebu Imusin. He was appointed Pupil Teacher at Christ Church School, Iwade, Ijebu-Ife. He gained admission into the Joint Provincial Teachers, Sagamu, from May 1, 1955 to December 31, 1958. He was posted to Abigi Community Grammar School, Abigi Waterside, Ogun State, from January 1 to December 31, 1961.
In his meritorious career, he served in many institutions of learning such as the Western College of Commerce, Onitiri Village, Yaba, Lagos; Clementina Ajigbeda Girls’ School, Surulere; and Victoria High School, Ikeja. Between 1980 and 1990, he was the pioneer Principal of Fagba Grammar School, Fagba, Iju, Lagos State. He was venerated as a teacher as well as a school administrator. He was an active member of ANCOPSS, Lagos Chapter. He retired from the Teaching Service Commission, Shomolu Zonal Office, as Head of Department of the Personnel Unit on December 31, 1993.
He made significant contributions to education and positively impacted the lives of people all over the country. He died on May 2, 2004.
