Born in 1916 at Esugbon, Ijebu Imusin, Chief Jimoh Sanni, ICMA, attended Quranic School, Esure, Ijebu Imusin until 1924. In 1931, he attended Alhaji Osi Lawal’s Quranic School, and later St. Mary’s Anglican Primary School, Ijebu Imusin. He also attended a Teacher Training College. His educational qualifications include Teacher Elementary Certificate, GCE A/L, and Teacher Grade One Certificate. 

He taught in a number of schools including St. Mary’s Anglican School, Ijebu Imusin (1935) and St. Peter Claver’s Primary School, Esure, Ijebu Imusin (1936 -1941).  Between 1948 and 1965, he was Head Teacher of Muslim Primary School and Muslim Secondary Modern School, Ijebu-Imusin.

He set up several community service initiatives and many schools were founded under his auspices. Among the beneficiaries of these initiatives were Muslim Primary School in 1946 and Muslim Secondary Modern School in 1959. 

He was appointed Secretary of Ijebu Imusin Group (1945 -1965); Secretary, Ijebu Imusin Progressive Society; Secretary to the Special Committee for the resuscitation of Oloko Chieftaincy; and Councillor in the Old Ijebu Eastern District Council (1955 -1961). He was appointed Balogun Musulumi of Ijebu-Imusin Muslim Community in 1979. He was conferred with the Ijebu Imusin Community Merit Award in 1991. He passed on in 1997.
