Born on May 4, 1980, Captain Sunday Olusegun Abogunrin attended St. Mary’s Anglican Primary School, Ijebu-Imusin from 1985 to 1990, obtaining his First School leaving Certificate in 1990. he proceeded to his secondary education at St. Anthony’s Grammar School, Esure, Ijebu-Imusin from 1990 to 1994 before completing his Senior Secondary School Certificate at Isoyin Grammar School, Isoyin-Ijebu between 1994 and 1996.
He started his higher education at Tai-Solarin University of Education, Ogn State between 2002 and 2006, graduating with a B. Sc. (Ed) in Mathematics. From 2010 to 2011, he attended the Nigerian Defence Academy Kaduna State. in 2013, he proceeded to Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria where he is pursuing a Master’s degree in Law Enforcement and Criminal justice. he also attended military courses such as Young Officers Course Education – NASE and Basic Map Reading Course – NASE. He was a member of Direct Short Service Course 18.
Capt. Abodunrin was commissioned into the Nigerian Army on August 6, 2010. He served in the Nigeria Military School in several capacities, including being platoon Commander Bravo Coy of Boys Battalion – Nigerian Military School (NMS); Acting OC Alfa Coy of Boys Battalion – Nigeria Military School (NMS); Mathematics Instructor – Nigeria Military School(NMS). He also served as Acting Admin Officer, at Command Secondary School Makurdi. Currently, he is a Mathematics teacher at the Command Secondary School, Markudi.
He is happily married.
