Chief (Mrs) Titilola Oladepe Ismail was born at Ijebu- Ode, Ogun State on March 17, 1941.  She is a native of Odolameso, in Ijebu-Imusin, Ogun State.  Chief (Mrs.) Ismail began her primary school education at Holy Trinity School, Ebute Ero, Lagos. Next, she attended St. John’s School, Aroloya, Lagos, and Our Lady of Apostles’ Primary School, Ijebu Ode. Following her primary school education, she moved to Remo Secondary School, Sagamu, finishing her secondary school education between 1956 and 1960.

Sometime in 1962, she continued her studies at the Advanced Teacher College, Lagos (now College of Education, University of Lagos), and obtained her National Certificate in Education (NCE) in 1965. The following year, she started a degree course at the University of Lagos, graduating with a BSc in Physics and Mathematics in 1969.

Chief (Mrs.) Ismail commenced her career in education at Oriwu College Ikorodu, Lagos, in 1955, and the following year left for Ahmaddiya Grammar School, Lagos, where she taught from January to June 1966. Thereafter went to the University of Lagos from 1956 to 1959. Thereafter, she joined Ibadan Local Authority Teachers Training College, Molete, Ibadan (1959 -1971).  She also taught in an array of other schools in Lagos State, namely: Reagan Memorial Girls’ School, Yaba, Lagos (1971 -1975), Jubril Martins Grammar School, Iponri, Lagos (1975-1976), Maryland Comprehensive High School, Lagos (1976-July 1977), Government College, Agege, Lagos (1977-1985), Zinnia College, Ikeja, Lagos (1985-2011), and Zinnia Schools, Ase-Ese, Ogun State (from 2013).

She was a member of the Ijebu-Imusin Beacon Society and took an active part in all the activities of the society. She also belongs to the Ijebu-Imusin Ladies League and has been involved in the BabyShow and the construction and renovation of the Maternity center. She also served as the Coordinator of the Association of Proprietors of Secondary Schools, Lagos from 1995 to 2010. During that period, she organized several successful workshops for teachers and brought about unity among members.

She was a Patron of the Red Cross Society, Ikeja, and Vice President  Scout Movement Ikeja. She was past President of the International Inner Wheel and then its District Chairman and National Representative/President and was largely involved in charity works for hospitals and the less privileged. 

She won awards while in school for lawn tennis, table tennis, and short-distance running; and also from many organizations including Inner Wheel Club of Yaba, District 911 and the National,  Ijebu Imusin Planning Body, and  St Marys Anglican Church, Ijebu Imusin.

Chief (Mrs.) Ismail’s hobbies include dancing, cooking, and playing tennis. She was married to the late Otunba Olutade Ismail and they have four children: two sons and two daughters.
