Sir (Engr.) Adedamo Olanrewaju Kuti was born in Lagos on November 12, 1965. He hails from Ipebi, Ijebu-Imusin. He attended Yaba Model School, Surulere, Lagos, from September 1971 to June 1977, and Birch Freeman High School, Surulere, Lagos, from September 1977 to June 1982. He then proceeded to the University of Lagos for his higher education in 1982 and graduated with a B.Sc. (Hons) degree in Civil Engineering in 1988. He became a COREN Registered Engineer in January 1998 and has contributed tremendously to infrastructural development in Nigeria.

He served with the Federal Ministry of Works, first as a Resident Engineer on the supervision of federal road projects in Imo and Abia States from October 1989 to December 1999, then as principal Resident Engineer on the rehabilitation of the Enugu-Port Harcourt Dual carriageway from January 2000 to September 2004, and finally as Chief Highways Engineer, Abia State from September 2004 to June 2006. In 2006, Engr. Kuti moved on to join the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA), serving as Chief Maintenance Engineer, in Kogi State, from August 2007 to July 2010 and rose to become Zonal Director, North Central, from July 2010 to June 2011 and Zonal Director, North East from June 2011 to December 2012. He returned to the Federal Ministry of Works in November 2012 and has since been working as Deputy Director, of the Highways North East Department.

Engr. Kuti loves traveling and listening to good music.  He is happily married to Lady Oluwaseun, and they are blessed with three children.
