Otunba Evariscio Kuyoro was born on May 22, 1950 at Igbaga-Imeri, Ijebu Imusin. He attended St. John’s Primary School, Aroloya, Lagos, from 1956 to 1963 and then moved on to St. Anthony’s Grammar, Ijebu Imusin, from 1964 to 1968. That same year, he moved to Loyola College, Ibadan, where he completed his secondary school between 1968 and 1970.  Three years later, he proceeded to the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, to pursue a pre-degree course during the 1971-1972 session. He thereafter secured admission into the Polytechnic of Central London (now the University of Westminster) for a course in Urban Planning (1973 to 1978), at the end of which he was awarded a B.A (Hons) in Urban Planning.  He went on to earn a Master’s in Town Planning at the University of Wales in 1981; and between 1981 and 1983, he attended a professional training course in Town Planning at the Royal Institute of Town Planning.

He started his professional career as a Town Planning Officer with the Lagos State Government between 1985 and 1987. He rose through the ranks occupying such positions as Senior Town Planning Officer (1987-1990), Principal Town Planning Officer (1990-1993), Assistant Chief Town Planning Officer (1993-1996), Chief Town Planning Officer (1996-2000), Assistant Director Town Planning Services (2000-2004), Deputy Director Town Planning Services (2004-2008), and finally, Director Town Planning Services (2008-2012).

He has been the Managing Director of Bosoto Nigeria Limited since 2012.  He was a pioneer Director of the Lagos State Regional Development Agency. He is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Town Planning.

Otunba Kuyoro is the author of The Role of New Towns in Nigeria Development. He served on the Dispute and Settlement Panel which was set up by the Kabiyesi-in-Council to settle the Ikala/Ilodo boundary dispute. He has been honoured with the Lions Club of Nigeria Community Development Achievement Award and holds the traditional title of Otunba Atunwaje of Ijebu Imusin. He has a passion for swimming and likes traveling for pleasure. He is a member of the Yoruba Tennis Club and the Ikoyi Club. He and his wife, Mrs. Olabisi Kuyoro, have three children.
