Otunba Anthony Olayemi Odutayo was born September 30, 1942, in Odolameso, Ijebu Imusin. He attended St. Mary’s Anglican Primary School from 1950 to 1958, and Catholic Boys’ Secondary Modern School, Igbeba, Ijebu Ode from 1959 to 1961 to obtain his Modern III Leaving School Certificate.

In 1962, Anthony Olayemi Odutayo was placed at Rachael Phillip West African Engineering, where he underwent training in electrical works, completing his Grade III Trade Test in Electrical Works in 1964. After the successful completion of the training, he succeeded in getting wage employment with several firms including Drake & Gorham Electrical Engineering, ETCO Electrical & Mechanical Engineering, Pump Maintenance Nig. Ltd., Kanji Hydro Power Station, and Central Bank, Enugu, with responsibility for electrical installation. 

In 1969, he returned to work for a second time with Pump Maintenance Nig. Ltd., but soon resigned his appointment in November 1970 to set up a private business in transportation. In 1983, he started selling cars at his registered office. His company was incorporated in 1992. 

He holds the traditional titles of  ‘Otunba Gbadero’ of Ijebu Imusin and ‘Otunba Fiwajoye’ of Kosofe Land, Ikosi-Ketu. He enjoys good music. He has many children from his two lovely wives, Mrs. Oluwayemi Odutayo and Mrs. Bisola Odutayo.
