Otunba Chris Ogunade is the Magbo of Odomagbo, Ijebu-Imusin. Born and raised in Ijebu-Imusin, the home of his parents, he was the first son of his parents, Late Pastor T. K. Ade  Ogunade (Noble) of the ECWAS Church of Kagoro (Yoruba section), who hails from Odomagbo/Iwaya, Ijebu-Imusin, and Late Felicia Okuneye Ogunade (Mama Anglican), from Idotun Ikala.

Otunba Ogunade spent most of his schooling years in Ijebu under the guidance of his great-grandmother, the late Mrs. Mariam Adetola. He attended Ajebo United School and St. Mary’s Anglican School, Ijebu-Imusin. He began his secondary education at Olu-Bernard Commercial College, Ijebu-Ode. Otunba Ogunade then pursued higher education at Bernard Baruch College, Long Island University Graduate School, New York, and the Manchester Graduate School, Manchester, UK.  He was on the panel that reviewed the 1980 Company Law in London at the City University of London Graduate School. 

 When he returned to Nigeria, he worked at the Federal Ministry of Trade (Domestic Division) before joining the Central Bank of Nigeria. He was posted to the Capital Issue Division before it became autonomous as the Securities and Exchange Commission. Otunba Ogunade was one of the foundation staff to be seconded there as a Financial Analyst.

He set up and headed the first SEC office in Nigeria as Deputy Director/Head of the Lagos Zone Office until his retirement in 2000. He meritoriously served for 24 years and received a letter of commendation from President Obasanjo for the successful completion of the ‘Indigenisation Exercise’ and was presented the ‘Long Service Award’ by the Securities and Exchange Commission. Presently, he is a Financial Consultant, Direct Care Specialist/Counsellor, Licensed Wine Maker, Licensed Builder, and Manager of his company, Garcon Company Nigeria Limited. 

Otunba Ogunade is widely traveled and speaks many languages. He is married to Chief Mrs. Joyce P. Ogunade, the Otun Iyaloro of Ijebu-Imusin, and they are blessed with both children and grandchildren.
