Dr. Omolayole, Ayodele was born on October 3, 1936, at Ijebu Imusin. He attended St. Mary’s Primary School, Ijebu Imusin, from Form I to Form IV. He proceeded to St. Peter Claver’s Catholic Primary, Esure, for his Form V, and St. Augustine’s Catholic Primary School, Ijebu-Ode for Form VI from 1944 to 50. For his secondary school education, he attended Kings’ College, Lagos, from 1952 to 1958. He had his tertiary education at Grant Medical College, Bombay, India, where he studied from June 1960 to October 1965.
In addition, he attended several professional courses. To mention a few: MBBS Bombay India, March 1966; Dobst RCOG London, June 1967; MRCOG London in 1971 and FRCOG London in 1984.
He was a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist and Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, London; a Consultant and Lecturer, at the College of Medicine, University of Lagos and Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idiaraba, Lagos, from 1972 to 1985.
