Mr. Olusegun Osidina was born to Pa Israel Osidina and Madam Lucia Osidina on August 29, 1943.  He attended St. Peter Claver’s Catholic Primary School Esure, Ijebu Imusin, for his First School Leaving Certificate. He went on to St. Theresa’s Minor Seminary, Oke-Are, Ibadan, and subsequently gained the West Africa School Certificate. He proceeded to the University of Ibadan and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 1967. The following year (1968), he got a Master of Arts degree from the same institution. He also obtained a Diploma in German Language from Pontifical Urban University, Rome, Italy, in 1969.  Upon completion of his postgraduate studies at Goethe Institute, Radoifzell, Germany in 1974, Augustine Osidina was awarded a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE). 

He served as a teacher in different schools in Kogi, Ogun and Oyo states.  He was among the first set of Principals to gain promotion to Grade Level 16 in Ogun State Teaching Service. He is a linguist. He speaks Yoruba, English, Italian and German fluently. He has served diligently in the many social, religious and professional groups which he belongs.
