Otunba Nathaniel Adebambo Aina was born on May 5, 1938, at Ijebu Imusin. He attended St. Paul’s Anglican Primary School, Igbaga; St. Mary’s Anglican Primary School, Ijebu Imusin, and Olu-Iwa College (now renamed Adeola Odutola College), Ijebu Ode between 1955 and 1959. During these years, he obtained his First School Leaving Certificate and later his West African School Certificate in 1960.
He had a brief period of teaching at the Ijebu East Local Authority Modern Secondary School, Itamogiri, in 1960, before joining the Public Service as a Clerical Officer in the Ministry of Defence in 1961. He was promoted to Senior Officer in 1967. He was posted to the Treasury Department of the Federal Ministry of Finance, where he retired voluntarily in 1976.
He started his private sector service as a Liaison Officer in the office of Balogun Ayanfalu, Badejo &Co. (Chartered Accountants) between 1976 and 1979. In 1980, he was appointed the Managing Director of Campbell Associates Limited (Chartered Secretaries and Administrators). In 1992, he established the firm of Adebambo Aina & Co. (Chartered Secretaries and Administrators).
He served as a non-Executive Director on the board of the following companies: Niger Insurance Plc. (1992-1998), Trade Bank Plc. (2003-2006), and Ijebu Imusin Community Bank Limited (now SAPIDA Microfinance Bank Limited) (2000-2010).
He has been Balogun Ijo of St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Igbaga, since 1985. He was appointed the Secretary of the Igbaga Development Council between 1974 and 1998 and has been the Chairman of the same body since 1998.
He received the chieftaincy title of ‘Otunba Fuwagbuyi’ of Ijebu Imusin in 1992 and has been a member of the Ijebu Imusin Planning Body from its inception.
